"A Matter of Balance: Managing Concerns About Falls" is an award-winning program helping seniors minimize chances of falling. Join one of this program's sessions being held January 25, 2023 through March 15, 2023, presented by Engage Travis County.

Non-profit AustinUP will host its annual Aging & Innovation Summit on October 20-21, 2020, featuring the theme, The Age of Resilience Meets the Resilience of Age. The virtual event will include six sessions held over two days, and explore Covid-inspired innovation and insight that could improve the lives of older adults as we emerge from this devastating pandemic.

Caregiver TeleConnection is hosting a free telephone learning session where you can ask these types of questions on December 12 (Thursday) at 10:00am. With the holidays approaching, it can get even more stressful as you try to balance everything. "Dear Lucy," presented by Lucy Barylak, MSW, will discuss how to manage care for elderly loved one and answer to the burning questions of family caregivers. 

Do you have questions about how to manage your medications? Are you concerned about how to recognize potential drug interactions and how to store and remember to take medicine appropriately? Lucy Barylak, LMSW, will cover all of these areas during this four week session, as well as providing information about what to be concerned about if you’re hospitalized, and other lifestyle and wellness issues.
