Right at Home bestowed its highest caregiver honor to Leon Church, a caregiver at Right at Home Northwest Washington, by presenting him with the 2024 National Caregiver of the Year award in recognition of his exemplary commitment to the company’s mission: to improve the quality of life for those we serve.

What elevated Leon above more than 24,000 caregivers was his characteristic ability to create individual caregiving experiences to meet the physical, social, and emotional needs of his clients.

This April at Home Improvement, Right at Home’s annual franchisee conference, the in-home care company is partnering with Veterans Community Project of Kansas City, Missouri, to further support veterans.

Right at Home will collect donations from attendees at its Home Improvement registration desk during the first two days of the conference. The Right at Home system will also assemble three types of care packages—snack bags, meal boxes, and hygiene bags.

Due to demand, Right at Home has set a goal of hiring 26,000 nonmedical caregivers in the U.S. this year. How does the company plan to do this? It wants to make the experience of working at Right at Home a singularly stellar one, according to President and CEO Margaret Haynes and Renee Pfister, a Right at Home franchisee in South Carolina. They discussed the brand’s recruitment strategy during a McKnight’s Home Care “Newsmakers” podcast.

In 2023, Right at Home expanded by opening 24 territories. Along with extraordinary franchise performance, the brand continues to shine on the industry stage, scooping up nearly a dozen industry awards. Building on these successes, Right at Home is set for another great year in 2024, looking to replicate—or exceed—last year’s development numbers. With a notable footprint of over 700 franchise locations in the U.S. and five other countries, Right at Home remains growth-ready to meet the demand for aging in place safely by providing in-home companionship and personal care services to seniors and adults with disabilities who want to live independently.

Right at Home, the in-home care franchise with more than 500 locations across the nation, is turning National Caregivers Day (February 16) into an entire week of caregiver recognition beginning February 11.
