Our Mission

Put simply, our mission is to improve the quality of life for those we serve. Of course, we recognize that everyone’s idea of “quality of life” is different, which is why it’s so important to us to make you an active part of your own care plan. We want you to be in the driver’s seat regardless of any limitations or challenges you’re facing.

Most of all, we believe aging isn’t just about staying healthy, safe and independent. It’s also about living well.

Owners Sandi and Dan Heintz

Sandi Heintz is a loving wife and mother who has spent the majority of her life caring for others. As a young teenager, Sandi volunteered in a community nursing home and later became a Certified Nursing Assistant at that same community. These early exposures to seniors developed her love and passion for caring for seniors and helping them age with grace and dignity.

Sandi has a Master’s Degree in Public Administration with a concentration in Healthcare Policy and is a Certified Senior Advisor. She is the current President of JCL Heintz Corporation dba Right at Home of Northwest Houston.

Sandi has been a member of the National Charity League, Inc. (NCL) since 2005. The mission of NCL, Inc. Certified Senior Advisoris to foster mother-daughter relationships in a philanthropic organization committed to community service, leadership development and cultural experiences.

Sandi currently serves as a Life Member Sustainer of the non-profit organization, she had previously held positions including President, Grade Level Advisor and Parliamentarian (assisting with major bylaw revisions).

Sandi also works with the Texas Emergency Assistance Ministries as a volunteer, providing assistance to individuals and families in the Tomball community.

In this capacity, she has the opportunity to stand in the gap and provide assistance to individuals who may need additional care to live as independently as possible. She is also a facilitator for the Powerful Tools for Caregivers course. This course helps family caregivers learn tools to make them more effective caregivers and reminds them to properly care for themselves. Her life’s purpose is to demonstrate there is no greater love than to serve those who cannot do the same for you!

The philosophy of Right at Home Northwest Houston is to allow who we serve to remain at home as long as possible with grace and dignity. Our mission is compassionate and quality care for those we serve in our community. Let us know how we can help you!

"One of the most rewarding things is to help families and loved ones care for themselves while we help them care for their loved one." — Sandi Heintz

Free Wheelchair Mission

Globally, an estimated 70 million people with disabilities have no access to a wheelchair. Those who cannot walk must crawl or be carried to their destination. In collaboration with a network of like-minded partners, Free Wheelchair Mission has distributed more than 1 million wheelchairs to people with disabilities in 93 developing countries around the world, providing renewed dignity, independence and hope through the gift of mobility, at no cost to the recipient.

As an organization, our work with Free Wheelchair Mission began in 2016 as we looked for a partner that would help us further our mission of improving lives worldwide. To date, our team’s efforts have raised more than $400,000 that has funded over 5,000 wheelchairs, which were distributed through life-changing Vision Trips to Vietnam, Ecuador and Costa Rica.

Josiah’s House

Over half of the children living in the Dominican Republic live below the poverty line and can be found on the streets in at-risk surroundings in order to make money. Josiah’s House runs family-style homes that provide vulnerable boys and girls with the basic necessities, education, life skills, and family home atmosphere needed to succeed.

Recently, 70 Right at Home offices came together to support Josiah’s House by supplying everyday items for the children of Josiah’s House. The group delivered suitcases full of clothing, personal hygiene items, toys, and other supplies.
