Helping Veterans Heal Trauma

Our Right at Home Northwest Houston team joined with Camp Hope to support the organization's mission of helping veterans cope with trauma. We were able to serve them a meal and be part of the engagement and support Camp Hope offers.

Camp Hope is a six-nine-month interim housing program located in Houston, Texas. We aim to relieve the effects of combat trauma through a whole-person approach. Its solution is to provide peer support, mentor programs, and professional development for America’s warriors and their families. There is no cost for the veteran or their families. The Veterans also have sessions with Licensed Healthcare professionals weekly. There is no other location like it in the United States; to date, 44% of the Veterans have graduated from the Camp Hope program.

Providing a safe space for the victims of trauma and post-traumatic stress to heal and learn to cope is a noble undertaking, and our Care Team was humbled by sharing loving, compassionate moments with these heroes.

Empower, Enrich, and Restore Lives

Right at Home Northwest Houston was proud to volunteer to help support the Mission of Yahweh. The Mission of Yahweh is a faith-based shelter that empowers, enriches and restores the lives of homeless women and children, and provides outreach services to communities in need, since 1961.

It was a blessing for our Right at Home Northwest Houston team to hear the stories of the people suffering homelessness, and to offer love and compassion to them. It was an honor to help the organization give people the love, dignity, and respect they deserve – >em>living the mission.

Committed to Kids Meals!

Kids meals delivers more than 8,000 healthy meals to pre-school aged children every weekday. These children often cannot access school-based free meal programs. During the summer, Kids Meals delivers over 14,000 meals a weekday. Every kid up to 18 years old in these homes also receives a meal. This summer they will deliver over 800,000 meals! On a recent Care Team team building day, we decorate and packed more than 100 of these meals. We impacted the lives of 100 children!
