Key Responsibilities of This Job
- Reinforce dressings (non-sterile)
- Assist clients with mobility devices (cane, walker, wheelchair, or lift device)
- Support prescribed range of motion exercises
- Measure and prepare special diets
- Monitor and record intake and output
- Take vital signs (temperature, pulse, respiration, and blood pressure)
- Assist with the application of arm and leg splints
Requirements of the Position
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum six months of experience as a Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) in healthcare settings (homes or facilities)
- Completion of a State-approved Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) course
- Successful completion of a Competency Evaluation meeting state licensing laws for home health agencies
- Valid certification as a Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA)
- A compassionate attitude towards patient care and the ability to meet job demands
- Current CPR certification is recommended

Requirements of the Position
- High school diploma or GED
- Previous experience as a Homemaker Companion or in a similar role
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English
- Current and valid driver’s license, with the ability to safely operate a vehicle in compliance with applicable laws
