Right at Home Northwest Orange County Receives Award for Support of Seniors
Right at Home Northwest Orange County is kicking off 2019 in a great way! The mayor of Cypress presented us with the Cypress' 2018 Agent Business of the Year award at the Annual State of the City Luncheon for the city of Cypress. This award recognized us as one of the city's' integral and influential mid-sized businesses.
“I was thrilled to present Right at Home with the 2019 Agent Business of the Year Award! Right at Home adds so much to our senior community through their generous contributions to the Cypress Senior Center. They are a shining example for other businesses to follow – a true blessing to the community!” said Mayor Stacy Berry.
Right at Home is very active in the local community participating in events such as the Alzheimer's Walk, and annual Moving Day Walk, a fundraising and awareness event for those fighting Parkinson's Disease. In addition, they are very active in educating and celebrating the senior community at places like the Cypress Senior Center. It is there that they conduct monthly workshops on topics from fall prevention and transportation options to staying independent, blue zone lifestyles and veterans benefits. They also celebrate birthdays with seniors by providing cupcakes for the Cypress Senior Center lunch program. “Over the past 7years, Right at Home has provided nearly 6,000 cupcakes for the Cypress Senior Center’s monthly Birthday Celebrations. Their commitment to the Center and the senior community is greatly appreciated by all! “ states Teena Tomlinson, Recreation Specialist at Cypress Senior Center.
